Spiral produced eight videos for the Scotland: A Changing Nation gallery. The film One Nation, Five Million Voices presents a cross-section of people giving their personal views on what it means to be Scottish, or live and work in Scotland. The film features a people from all across Scotland and from all walks of life, as well as some Scottish celebrities, musicians and actors. Other videos for the gallery include programmes about Ravenscraig, Entertainment, Housing, Emigration and Shipbuilding.

Media Wall
The Guardian

We designed and built two large screen software installations for Guardian News & Media Ltd. The software displays media from live feeds that include RSS news, video and photographs from the Picture Desk. We also built a CMS back-end that allow authorised Guardian staff to customise the two media players from any desktop computer.

Windows on the World is a ten plasma screen historical animation that plays out on five windows throughout the exhibition. There are nine character interactives; databases of documents, text, audio and animations that relate to key writers featured in the archive. Know Your Singapore was produced for Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority, working with UK design consultancy HKD. Designed primarily for school groups there are twenty voting stations where children test their knowledge of Singapore's land use, heritage, nature reserves and other intriguing facts in a fun, interactive quiz show hosted by Gurmit Singh (one of Singapore's leading comedic actors).

This a three screen son et lumière show projected onto the walls of Down County Gaol. The story of the gaol is told in six dramatic episodes. Spiral produced two interactive databases that work both in the gallery and online. The sites database allows users to identify sites of interest in Down County by selecting regions on a zoomable map. The object database explores objects from the museum's collections. Both interactives are easily updateable by curators.

This interactive supplements a large Dan Jones painting that hangs in the V&A’s Museum of Childhood Museum in Bethnal Green. The painting illustrates nursery rhymes and songs from all around the world. In the interactive users can pan and zoom around a virtual painting to find audio clips of the songs together with lyrics, details from the painting and further information.

Moving Toys was a project for both kiosks and the web. It allows users to choose from a mini database of 40 ‘moving’ toys to see them in action and find out how they work. Spiral also produced a Build a Toy game where users can design a toy from a menu of parts and then test their skills in the toy maze activity. Millennium Seed Bank

A film showing the work being done at the Millennium Seed Bank in Wakehurst Place where seeds are dried and stored in a vault to secure their survival. Spiral's production uses specially filmed sequences, archive material form the BBC, graphics and special effects to tell MSB's dramatic story.

The Forum, Norwich

Spiral produced eight interactives for Norfolk and Norwich's millennium project, The Forum. Five of the programmes were interactive timelines looking at Norwich through the ages. Spiral's design uses an on-screen skateboarder character who visitors control to explore Norwich and see what is was like when the Romans, the Saxons, Danes, Normans and Dutch were there. Another programme, Know What I Mean helps visitors understand Norfolk dialects by playing a series of radio quiz style games.
